Very nice
The inside of the museum and all the works were amazing and captivating 😊
Dope little museum. The architecture is really nice especially with the pond in middle for every room to have visibility of and how it captures the sunlight.
The sculptures were nice, but I was impressed that so many buildings remained.
It was better before it was managed by the ward.
I feel that it is a foolish idea to tax such facilities.
You can tour the atelier and residence of Fumio Asakura, who created many bronze statues, along with his works. Perhaps it was a special exhibition, but there was also a bronze statue of Watanabe's eldest son, who was responsible for the Kirin statue in Nihonbashi. All the wood used in Japanese houses, including the pillars, is of good quality. The garden is also beautiful and looks like a good place to spend some time just looking at it. I could pay the 500 yen admission fee with PayPal, as it was possible to pay with electronic money. It was possible to photograph some of the works. The style is to take off your shoes, put them in a bag, and bring them with you when you tour.
Very nice open-air sculpture museum in the mountains, very beautiful in the fall
Amazing tour and experience!!
I absolutely recommend doing it, before or after the cat neighborhood (Yanaka) and the surrounding cemeteries. The sculptures can be impressive but above all, ESPECIALLY it is the traditional Japanese house part which is incredible!!!
I advise you to lie upstairs on the tatami mats in the sun with the sound of the water trickling into the pond!
And if like me you stay there a little too long and it's closing time, the friendly staff will surely come and tell you that if you want to see the rest of the house and the roof garden without rushing, you have to leave and unfortunately having to say goodbye to the tatami mats...
But it’s only a postponement!!
